Лучше горькая правда, чем сладкая ложь

Лу́чше го́рькая пра́вда, чем сла́дкая ложь.

Translation:

Bitter truth is better than sweet lies.

Meaning:

This proverb does not need an explanation. Knowing the truth, even the bitter one, is always better than believing the sweet lies.
