Alena Sviridova appeared on the Russian stage in 1993 thanks to the invitation to warm up the public before the concert of Bogdan Titomir, popular at that time singer.
Alena is the author and performer of her own songs. Her musical style – a mix of pop, rock and jazz – was different from all the other artists and the audience liked it.
Here is what she said herself about her song “Pink Flamingo”:
“A line poped up in my mind: “Pink flamingo”. And I thought: that’s it! I immediately imagined a picture of an unreal world where you want to escape when everything goes wrong. A cold train with a damp bed, but you go in winter to this fantasy world which allows you to come to terms with reality.”
In 1994, the video clip “Pink Flamingo” took the 1st place on the BIZ-TV channel.
