Vyacheslav Butusov, the leader of the band Nautilus Pompilius, composed the song “Walking on Water” based on the verses of Ilya Kormiltsev.
Don’t look for special meaning and try to find parallels with biblical history in the lyrics of this song. This is just a free fantasy about the first encounter of a simple fisherman and later the holy apostle Andrew with Jesus Christ.
“Walking on Water” was first recorded in 1990 for the working version of the album “Guessing”, but the song only entered the album “Alien Land”, released in 1993.
