“Don’t Leave Me” is a 1989 Soviet two-part television children’s musical film directed by Leonid Nechayev, based on the play of the same name by Georgy Polonsky, which in turn is loosely based on the fairy tale of William Thackeray “The Rose and the Ring”.
The movie was remembered by young viewers not only due to the unusual for a fairy tale scenario, but also by the numerous songs sounded in it.
